Ahmed Mawloud Mahmoud, known as Ahmed Mina, was born in Balkha village, belonging to the Byara subdistrict in the Hawraman area, in 1932. He was a villager who worked in horticulture, married Kafia Yamam, and they had three sons and three daughters (Washyar, Wakil, Sardar, Mehtab, Suad, Shanna).

He joined in 1961 as a Peshmerga in the Hawraman detachment under Sheikh Hama Amin, belonging to the Khabat Battalion of the Kurdistan Democratic Party. He was severely wounded in 1965 while confronting the Iraqi regime's army at the foot of Mount Bamo in the Bilula area. In 1967, he took responsibility for the Revolution Prison in the Byara subdistrict of Hawraman, which was supervised by Khabat Forces.

Ahmed Mawloud and two of his Peshmerga comrades (Mullah Qadir and Ali Halaw) fell into an ambush by the Iraqi regime's army in Hama Oghan village between the Nuroli area and Halabja city in 1969. All of them were martyred after two hours of fighting and clashes with those forces.
