Agreement on the March 11 draft

Agreement was reached last night on the final version of the statement with the government delegation, and it is likely that the statement will be broadcast in Baghdad this evening. Our delegation traveled to Baghdad this morning with the government delegation. On this happy historical occasion, please write telegrams of support to the President of the Republic and the Revolutionary Command Council immediately after the issuance of the statement, provided that the telegrams do not go outside the following scope and circulate them to all Party organizations, local committees, and the masses in general: that your historical stance is a new support for Arab-Kurdish brotherhood and the national unity of the Iraqi people. Our Kurdish people and our Kurdistan Democratic Party, while supporting the statement, pledge to you and our Iraqi people that we will exert our utmost efforts to ensure its implementation in letter and spirit with the national authority, the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party, and other benevolent forces in the country so that our people stand as one rank against the conspiracies of colonialism and reaction against our dear Iraq.
