Barzani Genocide (Harir Community)
On August 10, 1983, several forced camps where Barzanis were staying were surrounded, such as the Harir camp, and Barzani men and youths were searched, some were arrested and sent to the deserts of southern Iraq and disappeared there. Because there was news beforehand that the Ba'ath regime forces would attack these camps, some were lucky enough to save themselves.
