After the occurrence of the Qarawe and Mamsha battles between the Peshmerga forces of the Republic of Kurdistan and the Iranian Army, we see that the Iranian forces were forced to reorganize their forces in the region and develop a suitable plan for their future battles and clashes with the forces of the Republic of Kurdistan, by carrying out a high-level visit to the Sara region and meeting with Qazi Muhammad and Mustafa Barzani, and although an agreement was concluded in Sara between Qazi Muhammad and the officials of the Republic of Kurdistan and General Razmara stipulating that the two parties would not attack each other and allowing the Republic to bring supplies to the besieged barracks, but after a while, we see in the village of Maklawa located on the road between Sardasht and Baneh, in one of the positions where the Peshmerga forces of the Sardasht-Baneh brigade led by Kak Hamad Mawlud had stationed to monitor those roads, and after several months of Battle of Mala Sheikh village and the Sara village negotiations signed by Qazi Muhammad and Razmara, that agreement was violated again by the Iranian forces. That battle began as follows: One day, a number of Peshmerga from the Barzani forces were heading to Maklawa to buy some necessary supplies, and on the way, they saw a convoy of the Iranian Army supported by four tanks, armored vehicles, and a number of cars full of soldiers and weapons, and they intended to cross towards Sardasht and carry supplies to the besieged forces.

Therefore, the Peshmerga forces asked the Iranian Army to stop to inspect the cars, but the Iranians did not stop, which led to the outbreak of another battle. The Republic's Peshmerga forces led by Hamad Mawlud, who were inside the village of Maklawa, arrived to help their comrades. On the other hand, Colonel Bakr Abdul Karim Huweizi headed to Maklawa to help his comrades, and Bakr Abdul Karim Huweizi himself headed with one hundred horsemen from Gork towards the battle site to be able to besiege the Iranian forces from two sides, but the Iranian Army fled towards Sardasht before that force arrived. Upon the arrival of the Barzani and Gork forces to Maklawa, it turned out that 14 people from the residents of that village had been killed and wounded at the hands of the Iranian Army, and one of Hamad Mawlud's Peshmerga was also martyred. The wounded were transferred to Mahabad first for treatment and then to Tabriz. As a result of that battle, the Peshmerga forces learned that the Iranian soldiers were hiding large quantities of weapons, ammunition, bullets, and shells inside the supplies and food materials they were carrying to the besieged forces, and they intended to deliver them to those forces while disguised by those aids. Therefore, we see that after that battle and because of the failure of the military forces in Sardasht to fulfill their promises, that agreement was annulled.
