Martyr Jawhar Khidr Qadir was born in 1973 in the village of Mawilyan, belonging to the Rawanduz district of Erbil Governorate. He completed six years of primary school. He did not marry. After the 1991 uprising in South Kurdistan, he established a relationship with the ranks of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, then became a Peshmerga in the First Battalion of the Sixth Army in Soran. He participated in most of the defensive battles in the Soran area, and on 10 Tishrina Yekem 1997 he was martyred in the battle of Mount Direbî at the hands of PKK militants.
