On 5 August 2010, at the Martyr Saad Abdullah Hall in Erbil, capital of the Kurdistan Region, at the seventh congress of the Kurdistan Women's Union, Vian Suleiman Haji was elected secretary of the Kurdistan Women's Union.

On 2 September 2018, at the Martyr Saad Abdullah Hall in Erbil, capital of the Kurdistan Region, at the eighth congress of the Kurdistan Women's Union, Vian Suleiman Haji was elected secretary of the Kurdistan Women's Union for a second time.

At the fourteenth Congress of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in Duhok on 6 November 2022, Congress members elected her to the Central Committee.
