Tamar Ahmed Shabaz was born in 1931 in the village of Srishma in the Khalifan district of Erbil province. He was married and had two sons and five daughters. In 1975, after the collapse of the Aylul Revolution , he became a refugee in the country of Iran. In 1991, he returned to South Kurdistan, participated in the uprising against the Iraqi Army, and later settled in the ancestral land of his fathers and grandfathers.

In 1963, after the Iraqi regime attacked the village of Srishma in the Khalifan sub-district and burned the village, he and his family went to the areas under the control of the revolution and settled in the Balek region. Tamar Ahmed Shabaz participated in the battles of the Qaladize and Sangasar region in the same year. When the Iraqi Army planned to attack the areas under the control of the revolution from the direction of Mergasor, Sari Akre, and Mount Pires with the intention of occupying the village of Barzan and the region, Mela Mustafa Barzani sent a letter to Ahmed Shabaz to attack the Iraqi Army to reduce the intensity of the fighting in the Barzan region. After the March 11 Agreement, on the orders of Mela Mustafa Barzani , they returned to the village of Srishma.
In 1981, on the recommendation of Idris Barzani, he returned to the city of Oshnavieh in East Kurdistan and participated in the Gulan Revolution. Later, by the order of Franso Hariri, he returned to Khwakurk as a detachment. In 1987, he participated in the Battle of Gali Rash in the Sidakan region, and in 1988, he participated in the Battle of Nazdardagh, which was part of the battles of the Khwakurk Epic , and was wounded. Tamar Ahmed Shabaz was wounded several times, and all the muscles of his body suffered problems due to severe burns in the Battle of Nazdardagh. Also, in 1987, in Gali Rash, he was severely wounded by the regime's banned napalm, and he lost the sight in one eye. Therefore, in 2013, he was sent to the country of Austria for medical treatment.
